Google unveils Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Google unveils Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL

At a recent press event, Google has unveiled its two newest phones the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The devices will have a starting price of $799, respectively $899 and can already be preordered from the U.S. and U,K. In the States, the phones will begin shipping out on October 17, while British customers will get them on November 1st. Additionally, both phones' cameras use AI relying on data from Google Image searches, which improves their pictures-taking capabilities.

The Pixel 3 is 5.5 inches while the Pixel 3 XL sports a 6.3-inch display. Both phones come with two internal storage options: 64 GB or 128 GB and include wireless charging capabilities. The handsets feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chips and 4 GB of RAM with the only difference being the battery. Pixel 3 has a 2,915 mAH battery while the larger XL edition embeds a 3,430 mAh battery. As far as interesting AI camera features go, there's Top Shot that picks out the best time to snap a photo, Night Sight, which is helpful for taking pictures in low lights without using the flash and Super Res Zoom that improves the image quality while you're zooming in. Both devices are available in three colors: Not Pink, Clearly White and Black.

While Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL look great on paper and I'm sure that being Google-made will bring a lot of benefits with Android and Google services, I still think that they're a bit overpriced. Google may be a giant in the Internet industry, but it's nowhere near Apple or Samsung on the smartphones market.
