There is a way to make this app works with Android 6: after you start both camera and smartphone apps, just go to WiFi networks and select the cam network: AP (cam ID), and then click connect. It took several months until I discovered this solution. I have a Galaxy S6 Edge (6.0.1) and a NX 300 smart camera.
