It seems that the competition between Microsoft's and Google's productivity suites is turning out to be very beneficial for the users. Even though Google's suite is still lacking a few crucial features on mobile platform, it's constantly getting better. The company just improved Docs and Slides by adding a feature which allows users to add images from their camera roll into their documents and presentations even when working from their smartphones and tablets.

According to the IT giant, this function will be available even if you're working on a file in offline mode, so you don't need to worry about exceeding your data cap. Furthermore, you can crop and choose the position of the images you add in the respective document by double tapping them on your touch screen.

Even though the changes aren't as noteworthy, the company also updated other parts of its productivity suite. Sheets is now more stable and some of its of bugs have been fixed in the latest patch. Furthermore, another important novelty is the fact that Google Drive will now allow you to correctly see the forms in your PDF documents. The cloud storage app also features a few interface tweaks which make the tool easier to work with.
