Oppo N1 mini has already been available for a few days on the Malaysia market. Costing around $450 (approximately €335), the mini version of N1 is already being advertised in India, so it will probably be released on other markets very soon.
Though it was officially announced at the end of May 2014, the exact technical specification of the N1 Mini were kept a secret by the folks from Oppo. Now that the phone is available, this information has finally become public knowledge. The smartphone measures 5.84 x 2.84 x 0.35 inches (148.4 x 72.2 x 9.2 mm) and weighs 150 grams. The device sports Color OS, which is a variation of Android Jelly Bean.
N1 Mini
The main selling point of the N1 Mini will probably be its top-of-the-line swirling13-megapixels camera that is capable of capturing images in 24 MP ultra HD mode. The 5-inch smartphone will also feature a 1.6GHz Cortex-A7 processor and Adreno 305 GPU. Memory-wise, the miniature version of N1 offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage capacity. The power source that keeps the device running is a 2140 mAh battery, while other specifications cover support for 4G-Lite, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
Oppo's N1 mini seems to be a decent smartphone but, unfortunately, it has several disadvantages. The downside which stands out the most is that the device doesn't feature a slot for MicroSD cards so you can not expand its memory beyond what it offers by default. Moreover, the operating system that the phone ships with is based on an already outdated version of Android and that might cause a few security and performance issues.
