Watch Urbane to Ship Out Next Week Watch Urbane to Ship Out Next Week

This weekend, LG's Watch Urbane is being released in South Korea, but don't feel excluded. The smartwatch is also being launched in many other countries like the U.S., U.K., Germany, Australia, Canada, France, India, Italy, Ireland, Japan and Spain sometime in the next week. If you want to purchase it, you can do so by going to the Google Store.

Besides having a stylish and elegant design, the LG Watch Urbane is also one of the first devices powered by the newest version of Android Wear. This means that it will depend a lot less on your smartphone than any other smartwatch that you previously owned. For example, the gadget will be able to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi all by itself, receive new emails and offer updates about your calendar appointments. However it's not totally independent as you still need a connection to your phone to receive notifications, send texts and access most of the available apps. The good news is that the connection can be established through the Internet even if your phone isn't nearby, but let's be honest: who goes anywhere without the smartphone?

Furthermore, the Watch Urbane also comes with two unique features, which you won't find on any other Android Wear device. LG Call is a function that allows you to dial numbers and call people directly from your watch (without having to take the smartphone out of your pocket). Moreover, this feature will also allow you to see a list with the recent calls and your favorite contacts. The second function, LG Pulse, is capable of monitoring and reporting on your heart-rate while you exercise.
